History and medal information - India General Service Medal 1908 - 1935 This medal was awarded for a number of campaigns and operations before and after the first world war. This medal has 14 possible bars - clasps that can be worn.

Three obverse types were used Edward VII (1908-1910), George V Kaier I Hind (1910-1930) , George V Indiae Imp (1930-1935). This medal is also known as the Khyber pass medal.
