History and medal information - Obverse side has twelve five pointed stars in a circle, Reverse has PRO PACE UNUM in three lines (roughly translated as "united for peace". The medal is fitted with a large ring for suspension. The medal has been awarded to police and security personnel serving in any military operation under the auspices of the European Union. The clasp denotes service in Bosnia since December 2004 (Althea).
