History and medal information - British Issued Korea 1950-1953 Medal . Awarded when the North Korea South Korea had a divide and South Korean troops withdrew their forces, after which the North attacked the south which caused the United States to Intervene. Awarded to British, American and Commonwealth forces who intervened and re-instated the divide under the UN Control.
