MM - Miniature Medal FM - Full size Medal
- Miniature Medals - (MM) Half the size of a full size medal and un-named, worn on mess dress, Evening Suit, Dinner Jacket or Civilian Suit. Not issued by the British Armed Forces like full size medals but worn on the above uniforms and purchased by the recipient. These are very popular for collecters and family displays.
- Museum Standard Copy Medal -(FM MSC)- Full Size medal but lighter than originals, normally un-named and produced for framed displays and a less expensive way of collecting medals all with original ribbons. These are medals not intended to be originals and are much lighter and marked with copy on them to avoid any problems and come with original medal ribbons, this is a realistic way of collecting medal sets at reasonable prices. These medals cannot - should not be engraved.
- Replacement Medals - (FM REP)- Full Size Medals and the same weight and metal as originals and can be engraved on the rim and are worn when medals have been lost/ stolen. They have copy in tiny letter on the revese (as per the law on un-named replacements and MOD Approved). These can only be worn to those entitled to wear them.
- Original Medal - (FM ORI)- Full Size medal that was awarded to recipient usually named. We try to avoid selling Full Size original named medals and can recommend many good medal dealers for more of these.
