History and medal information - NATO Former Yugoslavia Medal. The reverse side of this medal has "In service of peace and freedom" and Au service de la paix et de la liberte. It also has North Atlantic Treaty Organisation on the top and again in French at the bottom. Awarded to British and Alliance forces serving under NATO command in the Former Yugoslavia or the Adriatic for 30 continuous days .
